Decoding human development and disease via machine learning and organoid models

We are a dynamic research group at the Shanghai Center for Systems Biomedicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (上海交通大学，系统生物医学研究院).

Our mission is to apply machine learning and organoid models to understand the complexity of human development and disease. We integrate innovative computational approaches with advanced experimental biology to bridge data-driven discovery and mechanistic insight.

Our research focuses on:

• Integrating large-scale biological datasets to uncover gene regulatory and cellular mechanisms underlying human biology and disease.
• Designing, predicting, and building organoid models that more faithfully recapitulate human tissues, enabling controlled and reproducible studies of development and disease.
• Leveraging organoid systems to generate insights that inform strategies for disease treatment and prevention.
• Developing novel computational methods to analyze and interpret complex multi-omics and imaging data.
• Exploring 3D genome topology for developmental and disease insights.

Our ultimate goal is to unite computational biology and organoid research to address fundamental questions in human health and disease.
